The Information Science Master of Professional Studies (MPS) Diversity & Excellence Scholarships were created to advance the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science's commitment to access, equity, justice, and inclusion, and to enhance the diversity of the Information Science MPS student population. These scholarships are available on a competitive basis to all students applying to the program. These scholarships are subject to availability.
ANN S. BOWERS Fellowship
This scholarship will provide the awardee with two semesters of tuition, the student health insurance premium, and the student activity fee. This award is processed through the student's Bursar account and will be applied to the bill directly.
WILLIAM LEWIS BROWN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will provide the awardee with a one-time award of $5,000 for tuition only. This award is processed in the Fall term through the student's Bursar account.
MPS DIRECTOR DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will provide the awardee with one semester of tuition only. This award is processed through the student's Bursar account and will be applied to the bill directly. This scholarship does not cover the student health insurance premium and the student activity fee. International students will be responsible for providing proof of living expenses, and the health insurance for this time. This scholarship does not include any type of stipend, moving costs, or any other expenses you may accrue while enrolled in our program.
How to Apply
When applying to the IS MPS Program, check the box in the application to signal you are interested in being considered for a scholarship. We use the Personal Statement along with the other application materials and the interview for the scholarship selection process. Decisions on the scholarship will be included in the MPS admission offer letter. Please review the information about the Personal Statement on our main admission webpage.
