Visionary. Adaptive. Forward-thinking. These are some of the words that describe our three masters programs at our two campuses in Ithaca, NY, and New York City. Our graduate programs emphasize career-readiness and project-based collaboration that pairs students with leading companies to solve real-world problems. While these programs share the same vision – to ready students for successful careers in information technology – each differs in its scope and intent. Here's a brief overview of our masters programs, with links to help you explore more deeply which would better fit your career track.
Master of Professional Studies (MPS)
Based at Cornell's Ithaca, NY, campus, the Master of Professional Studies, or MPS, in Information Science is uniquely tailored to offer students the option to craft their graduate school curriculum around one of four focus areas: user experience design, data science, interactive technology, and networks and markets. This program's critical project component pairs leading companies like Google, Verizon, and Microsoft Research with student teams, who then research, design and build functioning solutions for real-world implementation. MPS graduates are routinely hired as software engineers, UX designers, web designers and developers, technology analysts and consultants.
Connective Media (MS)
Connective Media is a dual master's degree in Information Systems and Applied Information Science offered through the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute.
