I began my PhD under the supervision of Professors Gili Vidan and Rebecca Slayton in Fall 2022. I explore American imperialism through the emergence of cybersecurity policy and legislation at the turn of the twenty-first century. I am most interested in the how these policies (re)made cyberspace and the geographical/political consequences that followed post-9/11. I locate this work at the intersections of Geography, Science & Technology Studies, and Communication. Before starting my PhD, I completed my MA and BA in Geography at the University of Toronto where my research was supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Department of National Defence.
