Rosanna Bellini

I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Professor Nicola Dell and Thomas Ristenpart that focuses on the intersection of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and digital technologies. I help to lead and deliver the Clinic to End Tech Abuse, a frontline service ran out of Cornell that works directly with survivors regarding their privacy and security concerns. 

Broadly, I am interested in exploring how harms to vulnerable or at-risk populations are facilitated through digital technologies, and what strategies we might use to mitigate these. During my PhD, I worked directly with people who use violence in intimate partner contexts to help facilitate technologies for behaviour change that work toward violence reduction and cessation. My research has been published in premier Human-Computer Interaction journals, including CHI, USENIX and CSCW, and I also oversee the evaluation of online interventions in journals for Gender-based Violence.

I completed my PhD in Computer Science, following my Bachelors degree in Philosophy, my Masters of Science in Computer Science, and my Masters of Research in Digital Civics, all at Newcastle University, UK.
